Refund & Returns Policy
At The Uncommon Shop, we’re committed to offering you beautiful, high-quality leather goods and curated beauty products. If something isn’t right, we’re here to help.
Return Period
You have 7 days from the date of delivery to request a return or exchange.
Unfortunately, if more than 7 days have passed, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible:

Items must be unused, in their original condition, and in the original packaging.

You must provide proof of purchase (receipt, order email, etc.).
Items That Cannot Be Returned
Due to hygiene and safety reasons, the following items are non-returnable:

Opened or used beauty, skincare, or personal care products

Sanitary or intimate items

Gift cards

Downloadable digital products
Refunds (If Applicable)
Once we receive and inspect your return:

We’ll notify you via email whether your refund has been approved.

If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 7–10 working days.
Late or Missing Refunds
If your refund hasn’t appeared:

Recheck your bank account.

Contact your bank or credit card provider – processing times can vary.

Sale Items
Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Sale items are final and cannot be refunded.
Exchanges
We replace items only if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same one, please email orders@uncommonshop.co.za and send it to:

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you:

You’ll receive a gift credit once your return is received.
If the gift wasn’t sent directly to you:

The refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
Return Shipping

You are responsible for return shipping costs.

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

If we issue a refund, the cost of return shipping may be deducted from your refund.
We recommend using a trackable shipping method or purchasing shipping insurance. We can’t guarantee we will receive your returned item.
